Researchers measured certain markers in the blood of participants prior to the diet and with this information they could predict who would lose weight, keep it off  and even who would regain weight based solely on blood test results!

This tells us that most diet’s and weight loss programmes are doomed to fail unless they address the underlying causes of your inability to burn fat.

This is the one crucial factor that will determine whether you will lose weight and keep it off or not.

For example, if you have insufficient levels of T3 (the active thyroid hormone), your cellular metabolism may be too slow to burn off stored fat.

In women, abdominal fat accumulation may be caused by an imbalance in and/or excess of free testosterone. For men low free testosterone is a common culprit

These are just a couple of examples of hormone imbalances contributing to weight gain and a persons inability to burn fat.

The most common markers or obesity factors:

    • high leptin levels.
    • insulin resistance.
    • blood sugar irregularities.
    • elevated cortisol.
    • underactive thyroid.
    • hormonal imbalances.
    • impaired liver function.
    • neurotransmitter imbalances.
